How secure are the VPN profiles created with ConfigCloud?
All VPN profiles created with ConfigCloud use industry-standard encryption protocols. We support IKEv2, OpenVPN, and WireGuard. Your configuration data is encrypted in transit and at rest.
Additionally, our profiles can be configured to require device authentication and can be remotely revoked if needed.
Can I customize the installation page for my clients?
Yes! All plans include the ability to customize the download page with your company logo and colors. Professional and Enterprise plans include full white-labeling options including custom domains.
How do I distribute profiles to my clients?
ConfigCloud provides several distribution methods:
- Unique download links that you can send via email
- QR codes that can be scanned with the device camera
- Bulk deployment via Mobile Device Management (Enterprise plan)
- API integration for your own applications (Enterprise plan)
What happens if a client loses their device?
You can immediately revoke access for any profile through your ConfigCloud dashboard. This will prevent the device from connecting to your VPN service, even with the installed profile.

Profile Won't Install on iOS Device
If your clients are having trouble installing profiles, try these steps:
- Make sure the device is running iOS 12 or later
- Check that the profile is signed with a valid certificate
- Ensure the download link hasn't expired
- Try accessing the profile in Safari instead of other browsers
- Verify that the device has an internet connection
VPN Connection Drops Frequently
If connections are unstable, check these settings:
- Increase the connection timeout values in your profile
- Check if Keep Alive is enabled
- Verify that your VPN server has adequate capacity
- Consider using IKEv2 protocol which handles network changes better
Analytics Not Showing All Users
If your analytics data seems incomplete:
- Check that reporting is enabled in your profiles
- Verify that devices have successfully connected at least once
- Allow up to 24 hours for analytics data to fully process
- Ensure devices have internet connectivity when connecting
